Ingredients For Hot Cross Buns Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Pre-heat the oven at 200C for 10 minutes.
  • 2. Mix yeast and sugar in lukewarm water till it forths.
  • 3. Take a bowl and add flour,baking powder and salt in it, knead it for 10-15 minutes into a smooth dough using oil.
  • 4. Rest dough for 1.1/2 hrs to double the dough in size.
  • 5. Once doubled in size, take it out from the bowl and prick it with finger to release out the extra air.
  • 6. Now divide the dough into small balls, placing it in the rectangular mould.
  • 7. Then put the mould on baking tray and bake it for 20 minutes at 200 degree celsius.
  • 8. After it is baked, take it out from oven and put it on a table.
  • 9. Now mix some flour in the water and pour it on the baked bun making a cross sign on it and bake it again for another 10 minutes.
  • 10. Take out from oven and put it on a cooling rack and Serve.
