Methods
  • 1. soak 1 cups rice + 1/2 cup urad and methi seeds seperately for 2hours.
  • 2. now in a mixer jar make a fine paste of rice n daal.
  • 3. now mix both batter together. add little water if needed. Mix gently. and let it rest for 24 hours.
  • 4. after 24hours batter formatted now add salt .mix again. idli batter is ready.
  • 5. pour the batter in the moulds and steam the idli in a pressure cooker or steamer.
  • 6. serve the steaming hot idli with coconut chutney and sambar.
