Kronde ki chutney Recipe

In the month of July-August, gooseberry, also known as cranberry, is found in abundance. This fruit, rich in taste, is also valuable in medicinal properties. It is a sour fruit, various types of marmalade, jam, pickle, chutney and vegetable are made from it. Gooseberry is a very beneficial fruit, many nutrients are found in it. It is rich in vitamins, iron, calcium, potassium, zinc etc.

Recipe Notes

Note- My gooseberries were very fresh, so I put them whole in syrup. If you want, you can also make two parts by taking out their seeds from the middle.

Methods
  • 1. Take a wok add sugar and it’s doubled water. Add lemon juice. When sugar dissolved add karondas. Cover it and cook it for 2 to 3 minutes on low flame. Keep stirring in between.
  • 2. Open the lid and stir it and then mix salt, cardamom powder, cumin powder, black pepper and red color in it. Cook it for another 3 to 4 minutes. Cook it till the syrup becomes slightly thick.
  • 3. Switch off the gas and take it out in a bowl. When it cools completely, fill it in a dry glass jar. It tastes great with poori, paratha and bread.
