Chakli is one of our favourite time pass snacks. I have made it with leftover rice instead of rice flour but it's as tasty and crispy just like rice flour chakli.

Ingredients For Leftover Rice Chakli Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing jar, add leftover rice, asafoetida,salt, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, butter and turmeric powder.Make a smooth paste of it.
  • 2. Add gram flour and all purpose flour with rice mixture.To make hard dough add more flour if needed.
  • 3. Now take a chakli maker and place the chakli dough inside it.Tighten the lid and press the chakli maker to prepare the chakli.
  • 4. Now make spiral shaped chakli on butter paper so that it can be remove easily.
  • 5. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the chakli in medium heat.
  • 6. When it will cooked completely then fry it in high flame for 5 minutes.
  • 7. Sprinkle chat masala and red chilli powder on it and enjoy crispy spicy chakli.
