Punjabi pinni ( ladoo) recipe

A very delicious, healthy and traditional recipe of Punjab ( pinni) which is usually seen in all homes .. a recipe which is very close to my heart as when I was studying in hostel.. it’s this traditional sweet which my mom and grandma always gives me a box full so that if sometimes I doesn’t feel like to have hostel meal or busy with my studies.. I use to eat this pinni to satisfy my hunger and to be very true I always feel satisfied and happy to have this sweet which is made with complete love and warmth of my parents.. Now my kids love this pinni very much and I always feel happy to make them eat this traditional sweet and they love and enjoy very much with a glass of milk in morning.. so I am sharing the recipe of my Punjab’s pinni.. Hope u all luv it ?

Try to take rice flour which is little thick and pinni comes out perfect.

Ingredients For Punjabi pinni ( ladoo) recipe

Methods
  • 1. 1) Take a pan. Add desi ghee and heat it. When ghee is hot , add rice flour.
  • 2. 2) keep stirring continuously on low flame so that rice flour don’t stick to bottom.
  • 3. 3) slowly on low flame rice flour turns pink and beautiful aroma oozes out.
  • 4. 4) Now switch off the flame and let this rice flour comes to room temperature.
  • 5. 5) On the other hand, take jaggery in another pan and add little water to make jaggery syrup by cooking on low flame for 3-4 minutes to get desired consistency.
  • 6. 6) Now switching off the flame .
  • 7. 7) Now as our rice flour has come to room temperature, add sesame seeds, dry fruits, desiccated coconut and mix everything well .
  • 8. 8) Add jaggery syrup and mix well to make binding consistency.
  • 9. 9) Add some milk ( which is boiled and cool at room temperature) to bind the mixture to make pinni.
  • 10. 10) Now with hands , take little mixture and press it by palms and with the help of fingers make round pinni.
  • 11. 11) Arrange all pinni in a serving plate and garnish with chopped nuts .
  • 12. 12) Enjoy endlessly.
