Ragi Idli Recipe

Idli is a popular South Indian meal mostly consumed as a breakfast. Primary ingredients are udal daal and rice. Here I have added ragi into it to make it healthier. It tastes equally good like your regular idlies. This is one of the easy way to consume ragi it diet.

Ingredients For Ragi Idli Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak udad daal, methi dana and rice separately in water for 10 hours. After 10 hours drain the water and transfer the udad daal to a grinder.
  • 2. Grind it well. also grind rice and methi dana to prepare a batter..
  • 3. Mix udad dal and rice and leave it for further 10-12 hours for fermentation. Also mix ragi flour into it.
  • 4. After it is fermented mix salt in it.
  • 5. Now idli batter is ready. Grease the idli mould. Fill the btter
  • 6. Keep the steamer on stove. Once water starts boiling, keep the idli mould into steamer.
  • 7. Steam it for 15 minutes.
  • 8. Once done, demould it. Serve along with sambar and freshly ground coconut chutney.
