Raw Mango (Aam Panna) Virgin Mojito Recipe

Virgin Mojito is a classic and refreshing non-alcoholic drink made from mint leaves, lemon juice and sweet to taste. Aam panna is a wholesome rehydrating agent, its salt and sugar base helps in maintaining the electrolyte balance within the body. Aam Panna also prevents the loss of necessary nutrients like iron. Aam Panna is rich in several nutrients. It cures digestive disorders and strengthens the immune system. Aam Panna or Green Mango Drink is made of green mango/unripe mango pulp which is rich in pectin, malic, citric and oxalic acids.

Ingredients For Raw Mango (Aam Panna) Virgin Mojito Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and pressure cook raw mangoes for 2 to 3 whistles. Let it cool down completely. Take out the pulp, discarding skin and seeds.
  • 2. Take pulp in a big vessel. Add sugar and blend it with the help of a hand blender. Add black salt, roasted jeera powder and mix well. Raw Mango pulp or Aam Panna is ready. This can be stored in refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
  • 3. To make mojito, take highball glass. Add few fresh mint leaves and 2 to 3 lemon slices. Gently crush mint leaves and lemon slices with the help of a muddler.
  • 4. Add 2 ice cubes and pour 1/4 cup of prepared aam panna. Fill glass with water.
  • 5. Stir and serve immediately.
