Ingredients For Savoury strudel rolls recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a bowl combine flour, salt, vinegar and chickpea brine.
  • 2. Add water as required and knead a soft dough.
  • 3. Keep covered for an hour.
  • 4. For the filling. Heat oil.
  • 5. Saute onion , cabbage , garlic & green chilli with little salt till they turn tender.
  • 6. Add soy sauce, cook for 2 min.
  • 7. Add potatoes, maggi masala, mix and stir cook for 2 min.
  • 8. Turn off flame. Let this cool.
  • 9. Now melt the butter.
  • 10. Devide kneaded dough into 4 parts.
  • 11. Take a portion. Knead well.
  • 12. Keep others covered.
  • 13. Roll the dough into a sheet as thin as possible.
  • 14. Apply melted butter allover.
  • 15. Sprinkle bread crumbs.
  • 16. Take ¼ of the filling made.
  • 17. Spread it on the edge one side.
  • 18. Roll into a log starting from filling side.
  • 19. While rolling brush melted butter after every fold.
  • 20. Once done brush butter on it & make a roll.
  • 21. Arrange on a baking tray.
  • 22. Likewise prepare others too.
  • 23. Initially bake at 200°C pre heated oven for 10 min.
  • 24. Then reduce temp. to 170°C & bake for 30 min.
  • 25. At laste bake with only upper rod for 10 to 15 min. for crispy red crust.
  • 26. Serve hot with tomato sauce.
