This is popular street food from the indo Chinese recipe palette made from crisp and deep fried potato wedges or potato fries. it is crispy, sweet and spicy coated with honey,schezwan sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar and soy sauce which makes it a ideal snack or as a starters.So today i make this recipe @ home so lets start ....

Recipe Notes

Firstly, fry the potatoes till they turn crispy, else it doesn’t taste good. Also, adjust the amount of honey depending on sweetness you are looking for. Additionally, do not cook once honey is added, as the flavour of honey will be lost. Finally, schezwan chilli potato taste great when served hot and crispy.

Methods
  • 1. First Take a large pan and boil water for potatoes Cut the Potatoes in rectangle shapes . Boil it for 4 minutes only and straining out and cool it..
  • 2. Now pour corn flour ,black pepper powder,salt,schezwan sauce on 3/4 boiled potatoes.mix it well till all potatoes properly coated.than take pan and heat sufficient oil for fry these potato wedges.Fry till light golden in color.
  • 3. Put the wedges on kitchen tissue paper to absorb access oil.
  • 4. Further take a large kadai, heat 2 tsp oil and saute chopped garlic, chopped ginger,slit green chilli and chopped onions and capsicum on medium flame. Now add chilli sauce,ajino motto, tomato sauce, soya sauce, schezwan sauce , vinegar and salt.saute on high flame for 30 seconds.than mix corn flour and water add in it turn off the flame so that gravy becomes thick and add 2 tbsp honey and mix well.
  • 5. Further add fried potato and mix gently. Add roasted sesame seed, .mix well.
  • 6. Finally, serve Schezwan chilli potato hot with Jeera rice.
