Ingredients For STEAMED RICE FLOUR BALLS RECPE

Methods
  • 1. In a small bowl, soak spilt chana dal for 30 minutes.Heat a thick bottomed pan and add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to it. Add 2 cup of water and salt and bring it to boil.
  • 2. When water is boiled adds the rice flour and
  • 3. Mixes every well. When the dough leaves the sides of the pan in a ball, remove from the stove.
  • 4. Keep covered for 10 minutes. When cool, smear a little oil in your palms and knead the dough well.
  • 5. Make small marble sized balls with 1 teaspoon of dough and steam in a steamer or idli cooker for 20 minutes. Allow to cool.
  • 6. In a skillet or pan
  • 7. Heat the remaining oil in a pan and when the oil starts smoking, add mustard seeds, urad dal, soaked chana dal and broken red chillies.
  • 8. When the dals starts turning pink add the curry leaves. Add the steamed kozhukkattais and
  • 9. grated coconut and stir fry for 5 minutes.
  • 10. Remove from stove and serve warm
