Thandai Phirni Tart Recipe

Phirni is creamy milk based sweet dish popular in North Indian cuisine. Thandai phirni is an interesting twist on the traditional phirni recipe with the addition of homemade thandai masala powder. Traditionally served phirni in matkas or earthan bowl.I served phirni in tart shell.

Ingredients For Thandai Phirni Tart Recipe

Methods
  • 1. To make the tart, mix the flour,powder sugar, salt,baking powder and butter so that the flour is crumbly.
  • 2. Make a dough by mixing 2-3 tsp cold milk little by little and keep it in the fridge for 15 minutes
  • 3. Cut the dough into small pieces and press them in the tart mold to make tart shape . Picking them with the help of a fork.
  • 4. Bake in a preheated air-fryer at 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • 5. Take it out ,cool and put it in an airtight container.
  • 6. To make firni, soak the rice for 30 minutes, stain water and grind it into grains.
  • 7. Boil the milk and boil the rice by stirring it with rice powder.
  • 8. Mix sugar, saffron, boil it, mix it with thandai masala powder and take it down to cool.
  • 9. Fill the tart with firni and serve garnished with dried fruits, saffron, rose petals.
