Tuar Dal with Sambhar Masala

Ingredients For Tuar Dal with Sambhar Masala

Methods
  • 1. Wash soaked dal. Take a pressure cooker, add dal, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt and double water from dal. Pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles.
  • 2. Take a wok heat oil in. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When it turns brown add dry red chilli, curry leaves and ginger. Saute it for 1-2 minutes.
  • 3. Mix onion in it . Sauté till it becomes brown. Add tomato and roast it on low heat.
  • 4. Add all the dry masala with sambhar masala. Mix it well.
  • 5. Now add boiled tuar dal. Mix it . Add water to adjust it’s consistency.
  • 6. Cook it for 1-2 minutes. Turn off the flame. Add coriander leaves and lemon juice. Transfer it in serving bowl, serve with rice.
