Gulab jamun are soft delicious berry sized balls made of milk solids, flour & a leavening agent. These are soaked in sugar syrup & enjoyed. So gulab jamun are berry sized balls dunked in rose flavored sugar syrup. I have here made Aatta Gulab Jamun a healthy twist. So this try this awesome Sweet at your home and feed your loved ones.

Ingredients For Whole wheat Gulab Jamun Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl, add atta, milk powder, cardamom powder, baking powder and mix well and sieve all together. Add 1/4 cup ghee and mix well.
  • 2. Now add milk and knead a soft dough. Add very little at a time. Now make berry size balls out of it. They will get double in size after completion so make small balls.
  • 3. Now heat ghee for deep frying and fry these ready balls from all the sides on medium flame. Soon they will become golden red brown. Take out on a kitchen towel.
  • 4. Sugar syrup: add sugar and water on pan and start the flame. Mix well and let the sugar melt down. Now add cardamom powder and rose water. And let it boil for 5 mins.
  • 5. Now add the ready fried Gulab Jamun to this boiling sugar syrup, let boil them for 5-7 mins. Turn off the flame and cover it. Let them soak in sugar syrup for an hour. Now they are double in size. Out spongy very soft and sugary Aata Gulab Jamun are ready to go.
