Ingredients For Wholewheat flour khaja Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl. Add wheatflour, ghee and curd. Mix them well.
  • 2. By pouring water, mix well in all directions. The Dough should be firm.
  • 3. Allow it to rest for 1 hour. Keep aside.
  • 4. Meanwhile, make the spread by mixing 3 tablespoons of wheatflour with 8 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  • 5. Take small balls out of the dough, flatten it into a chapathi. Repeat the above process and make 3 chapathis.
  • 6. Apply oil on a plank. Place the chapathi and apply the spread evenly.
  • 7. Place the second chapathinover the first. Then place the third one over the second on the same way.
  • 8. Roll it tightly into a log and carefully cut into equal sized pieces. Press on the top with your index finger.
  • 9. Heat a wok and fry these kajas on medium flame until golden brown. Repeat the same for the rest.
  • 10. Transfer these kajas into a plate.
  • 11. For sugar preparation : Now take a pan. Add 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of water to it.
  • 12. Cook it until the syrup attains 1 string consistency.
  • 13. Transfer the fried kajas to the sugar syrup. Allow it to rest until the kajas absorb the sugar.
  • 14. Serve hot.
