Ingredients For Dal soup with tempering Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak the dals for 30 minutes.
  • 2. In a pressure cooker add dals , salt, turmeric powder and ginger garlic paste . Cook it for 2 whistles.
  • 3. Let it cool. Blend it well.
  • 4. In a pan heat butter. Add cumin seeds and onion. Saute it . Add Kashmiri red chilli powder , black pepper powder and tomato. Cook it till tomato becomes soft. Separate 2-3 tsp masala in a small bowl.
  • 5. Add dals. Adjust the consistency of the soup by adding water. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
  • 6. Transfer it in a serving bowl . Garnish it with masala. Serve hot.
