Ingredients For Dal Tadka Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash the dal 3-4 times under running water. Soak it in water for 8-10 minutes.
  • 2. Take a pressure cooker add dal, turmeric powder , salt and 2.5 bowl water. Give it 3-4 whistles. Let the pressure release.
  • 3. Take a wok , heat ghee. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When it starts to crackle add hing , dry red chilli and chopped onion.
  • 4. Add ginger garlic and green chilli. When onions become translucent add chopped tomato. Saute it. Add all the spices. Mix it well.
  • 5. Add 2-3 tsp water. Cook it for 3-4 minutes. Add boiled dal. Mix it well. Add boiled water to adjust consistency.
  • 6. Turn off the flame. Add chopped coriander leaves.
