Honey Chilli Potato In Air fryer Recipe

Honey Chilli Potato is undoubtedly the most sought after Chinese dish. It is loved equally by children and adults. And you will love this recipe all the more as its not only guilt-free but is child-friendly too and still tastes superb. I have tried to make it healthy by avoiding deep frying and using an Air Fryer. I have included lots of veggies in it. The list of ingredients is slightly long but once you go through it you will find it pretty simple.

Recipe Notes

To make potato fries ultra crisp, after chopping pat dry with a kitchen towel. Toss in oil and then put in the airfryer. Once golden brown, reduce the temperature to 160 degrees and further air fry them for 5 to 7 minutes more. No need to coat the potatoes with cornflour. You may skip sweet chilli sauce and increase honey. Though honey is also optional.

Ingredients For Honey Chilli Potato In Air fryer Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Preheat airfryer at 200 degrees C for 5 minutes
  • 2. Wash and peel potatoes and cut them lengthwise in the shape of fries.
  • 3. Toss the cut potatoes in 1 teaspoon oil and put them in the preheated airfryer basket. Air fry these for 30 minutes or till golden brown and crisp.
  • 4. In the meantime, chop veggies, that too lengthwise.
  • 5. Mix tomato ketchup, soya sauce, honey and sweet chilli sauce in a bowl. Mix 3 or 4 tbsp water in it and keep this aside. This is just to dilute the sauces a little.
  • 6. In a deep and wide pan, heat oil and add onions. saute for a while. Then add capsicum and carrots.
  • 7. Saut all the veggies on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • 8. Add the tomato ketchup mix, which we made in this and cook on high flame for 30 seconds or so.
  • 9. When it starts bubbling add the potato fries and toss everything so that the fries are well coated with the sauces.
  • 10. Add honey, vinegar, sesame seeds and greens of spring onions and toss again.
  • 11. Serve with love, soup optional.
