Methods
  • 1. First of all, to make dal, we will boil the lentils in the cooker. Then put oil in a pan, heat it, add mustard, cumin and asafetida and put chopped onions in it. When the onion becomes pink, then add chopped tomatoes and salt, pepper and turmeric in it.
  • 2. And add sambhar masala and fry it well. Then mash the boiled lentils and put them in it and then add green chilies and green coriander to the lentils and cook the lentils. Your sambar is ready.
  • 3. To make idli, first clean the semolina and add curd and water to the semolina and keep the semolina covered for 20 minutes. Then after 20 minutes, add some more water and salt and prepare the solution. Then add baking soda to it and mix it.
  • 4. Then pour the batter into the idli mold and cook it. After 10 minutes your idli is ready. Serve hot by pouring sambar over the idli.
