Ingredients For Karela ( bitter gourd) bhurji Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Roughly peel the karela. Cut it into round slices. Sprinkle some salt over it. Keep it aside for 10 Minutes . This process helps in to reduce the bitterness of karela.
  • 2. Wash it with water. Squeeze it.
  • 3. Chop the onion into slices.
  • 4. Heat oil in a wok. Add onion . Cook it on low medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add karela. Mix it . On low heat cook it until it becomes soft.
  • 5. Now turn the flame medium- high, add all the spices. Mix it well. Continuously stir.
  • 6. Cook it till it becomes little crispy.
  • 7. Turn off the flame. Transfer it in serving bowl. Garnish it with coriander leaves.
