Methods
  • 1. First cut the end from both sides then peel and cut lotus stem into thin slices and wash properly.
  • 2. In presser cooker put lotus stem and 1 small glass of water with pinch of salt and get 1 whistle. After that wash the stem properly.
  • 3. Take Kadai and put oil, after that put chopped tomato and green chilli and saute. After 1 min add salt, Kashmiri red chili powder and dhaniya powder and saute the masala till oil leaves on the side of teh pan.
  • 4. Now add cooked lotus stem with the water and cover and cook for 10 minutes. Now add some more water and cook on simmer till all the water has evaporated and the sabzi is nice and dry.
  • 5. When it's ready, garnish with coriander and serve with chapati.
