Recipe Notes

Ot is a time taking process but it tastes awesome. For less oil consumption,you can use air frier fro frying the balls. Sattu is used for good binding of the meatballs.

Methods
  • 1. Boil mutton pieces and whole gara masala spices in 2 cups of water. When 4-5 whistle comes,turn off the gas. When it is completely cool,open the lid and takes out mutton pieces and store the stock for further use.
  • 2. In a mixer jar paste the boiled mutton pieces. Keep aside. In a pan heat 1 table spoon oil. When oil is hot, add onion paste, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic chilli paste, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cumin and coriander powder. Saute it properly.
  • 3. When raw smell goes off, add mutton paste and fry it for next 5 minutes. When it will not stick the pan, turn off heaylt, mix sattu and let it cool.
  • 4. When it is cool, make small size balls from it. And deep fry it. If you have an airfrier, you can use it too.
  • 5. When all the balls are fried, it will turn into golden brown color.
  • 6. Add the chopped onion, and fry it. When it becomes translucent, add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic chilli paste, chopped tomatoes and saute for next 2 minutes.
  • 7. Add 1 teaspoon cumin and coriander powder, turmeric and chilli powder, salt , adding some water saute it. Now when curry starts releasing oil from sides of the pan, add boiling water and give it to boin for 2 minutes. When the gravy is ready, add the fried meat balls and garam masala powder.
  • 8. Boil for another 1 minute on high flame and cover it ,switch off the gas. Rest for 10 minutes. And serve hot.
