Moong dal ka Halwa is a special dessert, with its origins tracing back to Rajasthan, mostly prepared in winters as a warm dessert.

Ingredients For Moong Dal ka Halwa Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan and add ground soaked moong dal paste amd stir well.
  • 2. Keep on stirring it on low to medium flame till the raw aroma of lentils goes away completely.
  • 3. Now add milk to the cooked dal mixture and cook till all the milk is absorbed by the dal.
  • 4. Add saffron infused water and mix well. Add cardamom powder and hot water mix well.
  • 5. Now add in 3 tbsp ghee and sugar and stir well.
  • 6. Cook on low flame and keep on stirring it.
  • 7. The liquid should get absorbed and now you will see the ghee getting separated.
  • 8. Lastly add chopped pistachios. Serve it hot.
