Mustard chicken curry (Shorse murgi) recipe

Chicken is one of the most commonly consumed high protein foods (27 gm/ 100 gm). It can help people to lose fat and build muscle. Today I present mustard chicken curry or shorse murgi which is a Bengali delicacy. Mustard Chicken curry is tender, flavourful, juicy and aromatic dish. The marination used in this is unique and it leads to a great taste. Wonderful taste of the coconut milk infused with the unique flavour of mustard and chilli paste.

The temperature of the flame should always be monitored so that the bottom of the kadai does not get burnt.

Ingredients For Mustard chicken curry (Shorse murgi) recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and clean chicken pieces and pat dry with kitchen towels. Marinate chicken with all ingredients except coconut milk.
  • 2. Cover and leave it to rest for 1 hour.
  • 3. Heat kadai and add marinated chicken with spices. Stir for 5-6 minutes on a medium flame.
  • 4. Cover the kadai. After 5 minutes flip chicken pieces and cover again.
  • 5. Now add coconut milk and cook for 15 minutes on a low flame. When gravy becomes thick, turn the gas off.
  • 6. Serve hot with steamed rice.
