1. Instead of deep fry you can shallow fry these cutlets. 2. Add veggies according to your choice. 3. You can make it ahead and keep in refrigerator for few hours to make it more firm.

Methods
  • 1. Roast the oats until light brown and keep aside.
  • 2. Boil potatoes, beetroot and carrots. Take it out in a large bowl and mash it well.
  • 3. Add grated ginger, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder, garam masala and give it a mix.
  • 4. Crush the peanuts and add it to the mixture. Now add 2tbsp oats to bind it to form a dough.
  • 5. Now divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape them into round or cylindrical.
  • 6. In a small bowl, mix maida with water and make a slurry and in another plate spread grinded oats.
  • 7. Then dip the cutlets in maida covering all sides and then roll them in oats spread.
  • 8. Deep fry the cutlets in slow to medium flame until golden brown.
  • 9. Drain out the excess oil and serve it with any chutney of your choice. Enjoy!!
