Paneer masala is a popular dish prepared using paneer. In paneer based dishes, mostly onion tomato gravy used. But in this version of subji, onion garlic and tomato is not used. So that you can consume it during vrat too.

Ingredients For Paneer Masala(no onion no garlic) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak cashew nuts and melon seeds into one cup water for about 30 minutes. After that Transfer it to a grinder jar and prepare smooth paste.
  • 2. Take out paneer cubes in a pan. Add 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder into it and coat all the paneer cubes well with this spices.
  • 3. In a pan, add 1 tsp oil and add all the paneer cubes into it. Shellow fry the paneer cubes and transfer to a plate.
  • 4. In a same pan add remaining oil. Add cumin, split green chillies, cardemom and cloves.
  • 5. Now add cashew melon paste and about one cup of water and mix well.
  • 6. Add arrowroot in a curd. Also add salt to taste, turmeric powder,red chilli powder and dhaniya jeera powder. Mix it well
  • 7. Once the cashew melon paste is cooked, add dahi into pan and mix everything well. Add water if required.
  • 8. Let it simmer for a while.
  • 9. Now add paneer cubes into gravy. Add fennel powder and kasoori methi to it and mix well.
  • 10. Lastly after switching off the flame, add honey and mix well.
