Ingredients For Puran Poli (Arhar Dal) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl, add flour, pinch of salt, oil and water. Knead it into soft dough. Keep it aside.
  • 2. Heat the ghee in a pan over medium flame, add the dal and jaggery. Mix well and cook on a medium flame till the mixture thickens, while stirring continuously and mashing at regular intervals.
  • 3. Add cardamom powder and remove from the flame. Keep it aside to cool.
  • 4. Take some dough, roll it into 2-3 inch diameter. Place a spoonful of filling in center and fold to seal the edges.
  • 5. Roll it again in 4-5 inch diameter.
  • 6. Heat tawa on medium flame and cook it using little ghee till it turns golden on both sides. Serve hot.
