Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add garlic and green chilis. Saute till garlic turns light brown.

Add onions and saute till they turn transparent. Add tomatoes and saute for a minute.
4.
Add chana dal, spinach leaves, dill and sorrel. Add all spices and mix well.
5.
Put on cooker’s lid and cook then for 2-3 whistles and let it pressure cook for 10 minutes after you turn off the heat (there is no need to add any water).
6.
Mash all the vegetables lightly with back of wooden spoon or blitz it with hand blender (don’t mash it completely, you should be able to see chanal dal).
