Shahi tukda is a Popular North Indian dessert in which fried bread pieces dipped in sugar syrup and served with saffron flavoured rabdi. I have made some changes and turned it into shahi tukde sandwich.

Ingredients For Shahi Toast Rabdi Sandwich Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Firstly, boil milk in a pan on medium heat and then add sugar.
  • 2. Cut bread into small pieces and grind it into a fine powder.
  • 3. Add this powder to milk and mix well.
  • 4. Cook on low flame till it starts to thicken, then add milk powder.
  • 5. Mix saffron in 1 tbsp milk and add kewda essence.
  • 6. Add this saffron milk and cardamom powder to rabdi.
  • 7. Stir and switch off the flame, let it cool.
  • 8. Toast round-shaped bread slices in a pan with adding butter till golden brown.
  • 9. Make sugar syrup from sugar and water, and add rose essence.
  • 10. Soak fried bread pieces in hot sugar syrup for a minute and place them on a plate.
  • 11. Spread prepared rabdi on one bread piece and keep another bread piece on it to make a sandwich.
  • 12. Put some rabdi on it, and garnish with almond flakes and saffron threads.
