1. Date palm jaggery and coconut mixture shouldn't be cooked for long. Make sure it doesn't stick to the pan.2. Give the dumplings the desired shapes. Make sure that it doesn't splits.

Ingredients For Sweet Fried Pulse Dumplings Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil moong dal and make a paste.
  • 2. Add all purpose flour and knead the dough. Make it smooth.
  • 3. Heat a pan on medium flame and add coconut. Saute it continuously by adding date palm jaggery. Add milk and stir well till the milk evaporates. Switch off and keep aside.
  • 4. Make small sized balls and roll into circles with fingertips. Stuff the coconut-jaggery filling in the center.
  • 5. Seal the edges and give the dumplings desired shapes.
  • 6. Fry the dumplings in oil.
  • 7. Now, for making sugar syrup boil sugar in water for a few minutes to get one string consistency.
  • 8. Dip the fried dumplings in sugar syrup for at least an hour.
  • 9. Sweet fried pulse dumplings are ready to be served. Enjoy!!
