Ingredients For Thandai Mawa Eggless Cookies Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Dry roast all the ingredients mentioned for thandai powder except nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder and dried rose petals on low flame for 3 to 4 mins. Let it cool down completely, add dried rose petals and coarsely grind intermittently with frequent pauses on medium speed. Remove in a bowl, add nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder and mix well. Thandai Powder is ready.
  • 2. Mix maida and thandai powder and keep aside.Take butter and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk well together till it becomes light and fluffy. Scrap sides of the bowl and add grated mawa. Again whisk well.
  • 3. Gradually add maida mixture to butter mixture and gently mix. Gradually add milk to combine well to form soft dough. Wrap dough in a cling film and refrigerate for atleast half an hour. You can keep refrigerate for more time if you want.
  • 4. Remove from refrigerator and gently roll in about 1/4 cm thickness. Evenly sprinkle slivered almonds, pistachios and roughly chopped dried rose petals. Gently roll with rolling pin. Cut in desired size and shape cookies with knife or cookie cutter.Arrange in an baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • 5. Bake in an preheated oven for about 12 to 15/16 mins at 160 degrees centigrade or till it turns light golden brown in colour. Time and temperature may vary depending on the oven you are using.Remove from oven. Let it cool down completely.
  • 6. Store in an airtight container and enjoy.
