Ingredients For VEG ALOO TIKKI BURGER AT HOME

Methods
  • 1. 1. Let’s first finely chop all the vegetables and make a fine paste of ginger, garlic and green chili. Now add 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and once hot, add sesame seeds, chopped onions.
  • 2. 2. Add ginger, garlic and green chili paste to the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes. Now add the boiled & chopped cauliflower to the pan.
  • 3. 3. Once, it’s little more tender and softer, add chopped carrots and fresh boiled corn. Now add in the green beans and green peas to the pan and cook for another 5-8 minutes.
  • 4. 4. Add mashed and boiled potatoes into the pan and add salt as per taste. Add in 1 tbsp of red chili flakes to the aloo tikki mixture.
  • 5. 5. Now add the seasoning (masala) to the mixture – add chaat masala and jeera-dhana powder to the mixture. Cook the mixture and let all the ingredients mix very well with the seasoning ingredients.
  • 6. 6. Garnish the tikki mixture with finely chopped fresh coriander. Once the mixture is well cooked, turn off the flame and let it cool down completely.
  • 7. 7. Now make a slurry of corn flour and water in a bowl for the tikkis. Take some bread crumbs or rawa for the crunchy texture.
  • 8. 8. Now make small lemon-sized balls of the aloo tikki mixture. Dip the each tikki in the slurry and then in the bread crumbs, so that it’s properly coated on the tikki.
  • 9. 9. Shallow fry all the aloo tikkis in batches. Roast a little the burger buns from both sides and serve it hot.
  • 10. 10. Place the aloo tikki in between the buns and places a slice of cheese (optional) and serve hot with melted cheese.
  • 11. 11. Veg Aloo Tikki Burger just like McDonald’s Burger is ready at home!
