Ingredients For Basbousa Cake without Oven Recipe

  • 1. Firstly heat a kadhayi on medium flame for 15 minutes.
  • 2. In a bowl add semolina, 1 cup sugar, curd, baking powder, and vanilla essences. Mix well.
  • 3. Now add melted butter and mix untill sugar is dissolved completely. Keep it aside for 5 minutes with cover lid.
  • 4. Now grease the tin inside and place a butter paper.
  • 5. Place a stand in kadhayi .
  • 6. Mix the batter again and transfer in the tin and place it on a stand.
  • 7. Cover the lid and cook for 45 minutes. Turn off the gas.
  • 8. In a pan add 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water and make sugar syrup. Cook for more 5 minutes and turn off the gas.
  • 9. Add rose essence and mix well.
  • 10. Now separate the cake from sides and flip in a plate.
  • 11. Now spread the sugar syrup on cake.
  • 12. In starting you will feel that sugar syrup is extra. But in one hour, cake will absorb all the syrup.
  • 13. After 1 hour garnish with almond chips.
  • 14. Cake is ready to serve.
