Ingredients For Bhapa puli pitha or boiled pitha recipe

Methods
  • 1. Boil 1.5 cup water and salt. mix it with rice flour in a mixing bowl. Roughly mix it with a spatula.
  • 2. Cover it for next 10-15minutes. And after the time make a dough with it with the help of hand.
  • 3. In a pan, add grated coconut and jaggery powder. Mix it for 6-8minutes. The stuffing is ready.
  • 4. Take small balls from the dough, flatten it and put some amount of filling.
  • 5. Close the dough from both the open ends, such that, no stuffing comes out. Do the same for rest of the dough and filling.
  • 6. Boil some water in a flat and big pan, place a stand and above it place a tray with multiple holes. Place all the pitha on the plate.
  • 7. Take care , so that the boiling water doesn't touch the pitha.
  • 8. Cover the whole system and steam it for 15mins. Serve hot with nolen gur.
