Recipe Notes

While ur frying onions an wen u add bengal gram channe dal don't put the spatula for mixing since it won't be cooked fast. Then in the dough it u want to make it look crispy u can add semolina an rice flour to make the pakwaan crispy.

Methods
  • 1. Soak bengal gram channa dal for about 10 minutes.
  • 2. Then in a cooker add oil , add curry leaves& hing let it crackle fry onions till light pink.
  • 3. Then add turmeric powder, salt, green chillies and fry for sometime.
  • 4. Then add the bengal gram channa dal to it, then add water an pressure cook it for 5 whistles.
  • 5. When cool , add the tomato chopped an mix well . Till oil comes out. Then add little water an pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
  • 6. Then off the gas , add it to the bowl , garnish it with chopped coriander leaves, onions, spicy green chutney & tamarind chutney.
  • 7. In another bowl add maida, salt, jeera mix well then make a dough with the help of warm water and wrap it with muslin cloth for about 15 minutes.
  • 8. Then after sometime roll it like a thin chapati shape. Then with the help of the fork keep dotting it.
  • 9. Then deep fry it like it should be crispy.
