Heathy Aam panna Kanji Vada Recipe

Kanji wada is traditional Holi dish made with dal vadas soaked in spiced water, here i have made healthy vadas made in appam , dipped in aap panna.so healthy and extra tangy flavour enhance the dish.

Ingredients For Heathy Aam panna Kanji Vada Recipe

Methods
  • 1. For making aam panna, cut raw mangoes, add in cooker with 1cup of water, let it whistle for2-3 times, open the lid and remove all pulp from mango. Remaining water will be used later.
  • 2. Take mango pulp along with coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger and grind to make paste.
  • 3. Heat 1tsp oil in patili ,add mustard seed and let it spullter, add mango paste, chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, turmeric and salt. Add jaggery and remaining water, and 2 cups of more water, mix and cook till boil. Let it cool.
  • 4. For making kanji vadas soak moong dal for an hour, after that grind with ginger,chillies and salt, add water and make thik batter .
  • 5. Using whisker smooth batter till fluffy and light. Grease appam pan, pour 1tsp batter in each part of pan
  • 6. cover the lid and roast till one side done, cover the lid, few minutes back turn the sides and roast till both sides done.
  • 7. Now take a bowl fill with aam panna, add kanji vadas in it for an hour, refrigerate it, and serve in shot glasses. Sprinkle some chaat masala and chopped raw mango pieces.
