Ingredients For Idli With Chutney Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak rice and dal in water for 4 to 5 hour along with methi dana.
  • 2. Now once soaked, grind it to a fine paste and let it ferment for 5 to 6 hrs.
  • 3. Now the idli batter is ready. Add salt and rest for 15 to 20 mins.
  • 4. Now put the idli batter into the idli mould n steam it for 10 mins or until done.
  • 5. Cool it and remove it from the mold. Idli is ready.
  • 6. For chana dal chutney, dry roast the chana dal until golden brown.
  • 7. Soak this chana dal in water for 2 hrs
  • 8. Then wash it, put this dal in mixer grinder along with ginger ,green chili chopped and grind it
  • 9. Once thick paste is obtained, add curd and salt to chutney, mix it well.
  • 10. Now heat oil, add hing, curry leaves n mustard seeds. Flutter it and add this tadka over chutney.
  • 11. Serve this chutney with steamed idli.
