Recipe Notes

U can also deep fry them for a shammi kebab taste.And I would suggest not to try with besan as its so time consuming and not as tasty as chana daalwala is.

Ingredients For Kathal Kebab Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Soak chana dal in water for three four hours.
  • 2. Chop kathal in small pieces and wash thoroughly. Let water drain completely.
  • 3. Now in a pressure cooker, add kathal ,chana dal and some water and cook for three four whistles, till tender.
  • 4. Drain water,if any. When cooled, grind this mixture into a coarse paste.
  • 5. Take out this mixture in a bowl and add all ingredients except oil. Mix well.
  • 6. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten them lightly.
  • 7. Now heat a non stick pan, apply oil, and pan fry these kebabs on low to medium flame till golden brown.Serve hot with any chutney you like.
