Ingredients For Khatti Dal (sindhi) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a bowl soak tuver dal and masoor dal for 30 minutes
  • 2. Take a pressure cooker add 1.5 cups of water to it along with salt, turmeric, green chillies, tomatoes and jeera seeds. Add the dal and cook until 4 whistles. Until then soak kokum ad curry leaves in minimal luke warm water.
  • 3. Take madira and blend the dal with your hands. It should be coarse. Add the soaked kokum and curry leaves to dal.
  • 4. Keep it one low flame. On the other side heat 5 tbsp oil in a sauce pan. Add jeera to it. When it splutters add hing and red chilli powder. Add this tadka to dal and simmer until a boil comes.
  • 5. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice
