Do not over boil the arbi. If they are small in size keep them for just 1-2 whistles

Ingredients For Masala fry kacchalo (arbi) Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take 3-4 arbi in a pressure cooker. Add 1 cup water and boil it until 3 whistles.
  • 2. Once done let it cool.Heat oil in a kadhai.
  • 3. Let's prepare the masala until the oil gets heated. In a flat plate take the masalas in the exact proportion as mentioned in the ingredients section. Mix them well and keep aside.
  • 4. Remove the skin of the boiled arbi and cut it in long slices almost 3mm-5mm thick. Add them in heated oil and cook until crisp and golden brown in color.
  • 5. Once they are crisp take them out directly on the plate with masala mix. Coat them well.
  • 6. Serve them with pulao or roti.
