Ingredients For KHEER SAGAR RECIPE

Methods
  • 1. Boil one liter milk in a heavy bottom vessel.
  • 2. Once cooled,switch off the flame.
  • 3. Mix vinegar and cover the milk.
  • 4. After sometime milk is fully curdled.
  • 5. Strain the paneer and wash 2 - 3 times in a fresh water.
  • 6. Now we get soft paneer.'
  • 7. We mash the paneer very well.
  • 8. Add 2 tbsp rawa into the paneer and mix well.
  • 9. Knead the paneer again and divide the dough into 20 equal size smooth balls.
  • 10. Now we take pressure cooker and add half cup of sugar,three cup of water and paneer balls and steam it.
  • 11. When cooker release the whistle simmer the flame for ten minutes.
  • 12. Once cooled open the cooker lid.
  • 13. The paneer balls or rasgulla should be floating on the syrup.
  • 14. Its size should be double.
  • 15. Now boil one liter milk in a heavy bottom vessel.
  • 16. Once boiled,keep it in a low flame.
  • 17. Stir in between thickening the milk.
  • 18. Cook well till it gets thick.
  • 19. Add 1/2 cup sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • 20. Squeeze the cheena/paneer balls and drop them into the thick milk.
  • 21. Add saffron strands and mix well.
  • 22. Keep in the fridge for an hour.
  • 23. Garnish with saffron strands and serve chilled.
