Methods
  • 1. Cut the elephant apple into strips.
  • 2. Soak the lentil for half an hour.
  • 3. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add panch phoron, dry red chilli, bayleaf and temper. Then add chopped onions, ginger, garlic and saute it.
  • 4. Drain water from the lentil and in the cooker. Add turmeric, cumin, red chilli powder and salt .
  • 5. Pour water and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Mash the dal.
  • 6. Then add slitted green chillies and adjust the consistency.
  • 7. Serve with hot rice.
