post no-2 I cut the banana leaf like India map This time first I gave yellow rice, then plain rice, I put onion slices on it. And at the end I decorated it with coriander leaves and rice.

Ingredients For Tricolour Rice Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Yellow rice:Clean and soak the rice for 15 minutes in enough water.
  • 2. Heat oil and ghee in a pan. Add the cinnamon stick , cardamom, cloves, add green chili, ginger & garlic paste, and saute it till the raw smell goes away.
  • 3. Add the soaked and drained rice and stir it. Add turmeric powder, and mix it well (don’t allow to get dry, or else it will get stuck to the bottom).
  • 4. Add water and salt and mix it again. Close it with a lid and allow it to cook in medium heat till it gets done.
  • 5. Turmeric Rice/ Pulao / Pulav / Yellow Rice is ready to serve hot.
  • 6. Coriander rice:Wash coriander leaves under running water 2-3 times. Chop it and grind it along with ginger and green chilli using very less water. Keep the paste aside.
  • 7. Heat oil in a pan,add cumin/jeera seeds, when it sizzles,add finely chopped onions and saute till it turns translucent.
  • 8. Then add the ground paste, needed salt and saute until the raw smell goes and oil separates.
  • 9. Mix rice and serve it with any sabji, curry raita etc.
