Methods
  • 1. Chop dates soak in the milk for half an hour.
  • 2. Grind them and keep it aside.
  • 3. Preheat the oven at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Now sift flour, baking powder , baking soda, cinnamon powder and salt for three times.
  • 5. Now take a mixing bowl add jaggery, ghee,paste of dates and beat them all.
  • 6. Add dry ingredients mix well in cut and fold method using spatula.
  • 7. Now add walnuts, if the batter is thick add 1/4 cup of milk.
  • 8. Pour the mixture in the greased cake tin.
  • 9. Tap it lightly, bake in preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 40 minutes.
  • 10. After 40 minutes check with knife if it comes out dry this means cake is ready.
  • 11. Let it cool, slice it and enjoy
