Ingredients For Dal Kachori Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Take a bowl, add and mix baking powder and salt into the maida. Rub ghee/oil into the maida, add water and knead into stiff dough. Rest, cover for 15 minutes.
  • 2. Drain dal and grind coarsely.
  • 3. Heat oil in a wok add jeera. When it splutters, add ginger, heeng, green chillies. Saute it .
  • 4. Add dal, salt, garam masala, chilli powder, coconut . saute till it's 'fried'.
  • 5. Now Add about 1/4 cup water and cook till dal is cooked through. Mix in the tamarind and sugar , sounf and keep aside.
  • 6. Take a portion of dough, make katori , fill in mixture. Seal it .
  • 7. Deep fry all the kachori , first over high heat, then over medium heat so that it cook's through, and browns .
  • 8. Serve it with kadhi .
