Indori poha is a very famous street food of Indore. Tried it for first time and found the taste really nice! These poha are served with tea and jalebis, but i like it just like that so have served it just like that!!!

Ingredients For Indori poha Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a strainer take poha and wash with water 3-4 times. Take care all poha don't get mixed up.
  • 2. To the washed poha add sugar, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well!
  • 3. For tempering, in a non-stick pan add oil and heat it. Add mustard seeds and fennel seeds to it.
  • 4. When mustard seeds crackle add the chopped onions (3/4th only), curry leaves and green chilli.
  • 5. After the onions becomes pinkish add ginger powder, red chilli powder, coriander seeds powder, roasted cumin seeds powder and garam masala powder to it, mix well.
  • 6. Now add the mixture of poha to it and mix everything properly and cover it. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes and then mix well.
  • 7. Switch off the gas and add the lemon juice.
  • 8. While serving, top the ready Indori Poha with chopped onions (1/4 part) and Bhujiya sev. We can add pomegranates and spicy boondi to it.
