Ingredients For Nutritious Khatta Spinach dal Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Cook the moong dal with 2 1/2 cups of water and keep aside
  • 2. Heat oil in a sauce pan. Temper with mustard,cumin and both the dals
  • 3. Add the spring onion greens . chopped garlic and sliced onion. Saute till transparent. Add the slit green chillies
  • 4. Now add the tomatoes and curry leaves.
  • 5. Cover and cook for 5 minutes
  • 6. Uncover and add the chopped spinach leaves
  • 7. Cover and cook till wilted
  • 8. Now add the cooked dal and spice powders
  • 9. Add a tsp of salt. Add the sugar.
  • 10. Next goes in 2 cups of water.
  • 11. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander.
  • 12. Have with hot steamed rice and salad.
