Oats Khichdi Recipe

Oats khichdi is a one pot Indian lentil and oatmeal dish cooked with ghee, lots of mixed vegetables, cumin seeds, fresh ginger root and bay leaf. The dish is garnished with some coriander leaves and topped with more ghee and lemon juice. You can make this with any kind of oats you have.

Ingredients For Oats Khichdi Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a cooker, add butter and cumin seeds. Now add onion cooked till golden.
  • 2. Add tomato and ginger garlic paste cook till tomato comes soft.
  • 3. Add chopped carrot and beans. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Now add soaked moong dal without water.
  • 4. Add oats, turmeric powder and salt mix well.
  • 5. Add water and cook till 2 whistle. After releasing the pressure from cooker open the lid.
  • 6. Our healthy Oats Khichdi is ready to serve.
