Falafel is a globally recognized traditional Middle eastern cuisine which is deep fried and served as appetizer along side Hummus. This recipe has an added twist into it that is the flavours of fresh green peas adding to more nutritional properties and healthy benefits .

Ingredients For Peas Falafel Recipe

Methods
  • 1. Wash and soak 1 cup of chickpeas overnight or approximately for 8hours.
  • 2. Boil the fresh green peas with some salt. Then strain the those peas and keep aside.
  • 3. Strain those chickpeas and put into food processor or mixer grinder. Add those boiled green peas.
  • 4. Now add all other ingredients into the food processor and grind. Pulse it at intervals till we get very small crumbles of mixture.
  • 5. Now transfer the mixture into plate. Make small round balls or patty like shapes if you wish you can coat with bread crumbs. Refrigerate these patties for about 15-20minutes so that it retains the shape.
  • 6. Take a heavy bottom pan. Add oil for deep frying. Heat it.
  • 7. Fry these patties in 2 3 batches till it turn into brown colour on the outside part.
  • 8. Serve hot along Carrot Hummus or any Hummus.
