Ingredients For Sewai payesh tart recipe

Methods
  • 1. Firstly, roast the vermicelli till it is light golden brown in colour. Next  heat up 500 ml milk in a heavy bottom pan and once it begins to boil,  add the roasted vermicelli. 
  • 2. Stir well and allow the vermicelli to cook in the milk. Once vermicelli is cooked, add the sugar and cardamom powder and cook till the payesh is of creamy consistency.  Switch off the heat and cool the payesh completely.
  • 3. To make tart shell, make a stiff dough using all purpose flour,  butter, salt and milk. Add milk little by little to make a stiff dough.  Rest the dough for 15 minutes.  After 15 minutes, make balls out of the dough and make tart shells.  Bake for 15 minutes in a microwave. Cool down completely
  • 4. To assemble the Sewai payesh tart,  add some Sewai payesh in the tart. Garnish with chopped pistachios and almond . Serve immediately.
