Veg Suji Uttapam Recipe

Basically uttapam is made with idli or dosa batter which needs more time and effort. Suji uttapam is made instantly, easy to make and nutritious too. It is made with semolina, spices and veges . Ideal for breakfast and dinner too.

Ingredients For Veg Suji Uttapam Recipe

Methods
  • 1. In a mixing bowl take suji, rice flour and curd. Combine well. Add approximate 1 cup water and mix well. Cover with lid and rest for 10-15 minutes. Then again mix well. Add more water if needed and prepare semi thick batter.
  • 2. Add salt, black pepper powder, crushed green chillies and coriander leaves. Combine well. Now add fruit salt, pour 1 teaspoon water over it and rotate in one direction.
  • 3. Heat tawa. Pour spoonful of batter and spread it evenly. Apply some chopped onion, tomato, capsicum and cabbage. Gently press with spatula. Apply oil at the edges and cook until bottom side turns golden. Then flip it and cook that side too.
  • 4. Yummy suji uttapam is ready to serve. Serve with coconut chutney or Tomato ketchup.
